I was up and out a bit early. Which was a good thing because when I reached the end of my driveway (the mythical driveway for some of you) and looked north. Oh yes, the field across from the slough was light and glowing with low level fog. It was like a blanket and only there on that particular field/meadow. My destination was set.

Let me tell you about the dew and how my pants are wet and the meadow filled with backlit spiderwebs. It was a soft morning of surprising light, a gentling dew, the fog over the one field and nowhere else but the stream that cleaves the slough.
